Job summary

Electrolabgroup in Navi Mumbai invites a procurement specialist to manage PCB/PCBA and electronic component sourcing, based on BOM, datasheets and specs. You will work with R&D, Quality, Production and Stores to qualify materials and ensure availability.

The role requires evaluating ICs, MCU/Controller, PMIC, LDO, and other components, negotiating terms, analyzing landed costs, identifying suppliers, and maintaining ERP/MRP data.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB/PCBA procurement and sourcing.
• Knowledge of RoHS/compliance and lifecycle management.
• Experience with import procurement and landed-cost calculations.

Job description

• Handle procurement of PCB, PCBA/EMS and electronic components based on BOM, Gerber/data sheets and technical specifications.
• Understand PCB manufacturing process, including PCB fabrication, SMT, THT, assembly, testing and final PCBA requirements.
• Analyze BOM and identify critical, long-lead-time, single-source and obsolete components.
• Source and technically evaluate ICs, MCU/Controller, RAM, PMIC, LDO, capacitors, resistors, diodes, connectors, sensors, displays, relays, MOSFETs and other active/passive components.
• Evaluate part number, manufacturer, datasheet/specification, package, voltage/current rating, tolerance, temperature range, lifecycle and technical compatibility before proposing alternatives.
• Develop alternate components and alternate suppliers without compromising form-fit-function and product quality.
• Manage Indian and import procurement for electronic components and PCB/PCBA.
• Identify and develop Indian suppliers, EMS partners, PCB manufacturers and authorized distributors.
• Handle overseas sourcing, RFQ, supplier comparison, MOQ, lead time, payment terms,
• Compare local vs import landed cost and recommend the most commercially and technically suitable source.
• Work closely with R&D;/Engineering, Quality, Production and Stores for component approval, qualification and material availability.
• Coordinate supplier samples, prototype/first-batch procurement and technical validation before regular production orders.
• Negotiate price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms and annual/volume pricing with suppliers.
• Monitor shortages, lead times, price fluctuations and electronic component lifecycle/obsolescence risks.
• Maintain approved supplier and component databases through ERP/MRP.
• Ensure timely procurement through MRP, BOM and production requirements.
• Track supplier OTD, rejection, quality issues and responsiveness.

Technical Expertise Expected

• PCB/PCBA: PCB fabrication, SMT, THT, Assembly Testing, Inspection Final PCBA.
• Electronic Components: IC, MCU/Controller, RAM, PMIC, LDO, MOSFET, Diode, Capacitor, Resistor, Connector, Sensor, Display, Relay, Crystal/Oscillator and other active/passive components.

Preferred Knowledge

• Component cross-reference / alternate identification.
• RoHS / compliance awareness.
