Job summary

Valeo in Chennai is seeking an ADAS validation engineer to lead Vehicle Integration Level (VIL) validation for ADAS features and to validate forward camera and radar-based systems including FCW, AEB and ACC through scenario-based testing.

You will analyze brake timing, wheel speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration and load transfer, and validate interactions with braking ECU and VDC/ESC, perform CAN tracing and UDS diagnostics, and support cross-functional technical reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead Vehicle Integration Level (VIL) Validation of ADAS features
• Validate Forward Camera & Radar-based systems including FCW, AEB, ACC
• Execute scenario-based open road and track testing
• Ensure validation as per AIS 162 homologation requirements
• Analyze system performance considering: brake response timing, wheel speed signals, yaw rate and lateral acceleration, load transfer and axle weight variation
• Validate ADAS functional interaction with braking ECU, VDC/ESC, ABS/EBS
• Perform CAN trace analysis, UDS diagnostics, fault injection and issue debugging
• Support root cause analysis and cross-functional technical reviews

Technical Responsibilities :

• 1. Lead Vehicle Integration Level (VIL) Validation of ADAS features
• 2. Validate Forward Camera & Radar-based systems including:
  • a) FCW (Forward Collision Warning)
  • b) AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking)
  • c) ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)
• 3. Execute scenario-based open road and track testing
• 4. Ensure validation as per AIS 162 homologation requirements
• 5. Analyze system performance considering:
  • a) Brake response timing
  • b) Wheel speed signals
  • c) Yaw rate & lateral acceleration
  • d) Load transfer & axle weight variation
• 6. Validate ADAS functional interaction with:
