Job summary

Daimler Trucks North America LLC seeks an engineering professional to lead performance validation activities focused on fluid efficiency and benchmark testing. You will help develop DV/PV strategies with design engineering and coordinate instrumentation, resources, and test readiness for system and vehicle tests.

The role requires analyzing results, triaging defects, and supporting sign-off decisions through structured evidence and reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering with below vehicle testing skills
• Experience in fuel economy testing and data acquisition on CAN is preferred
• Experience with VECTO/CO2 compliance support is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
• Strong analytical skills for vehicle performance and driveline analysis
• Experience in statistical data analysis and benchmarking
• AI-enabled analysis capabilities are desirable

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities, instrumentation, tools, budgets, and resources for system and vehicle test execution

• Report readiness, test outcomes, residual issues, and sign-off recommendations to program and engineering leadership

Tasks

Is responsible for planning and executing performance validation activities, focused on fluid efficiency & benchmark testing, developing DV/PV and test case strategies with design engineering, coordinating instrumentation, resources, and test execution readiness, analyzing results and triaging defects, and supporting sign-off decisions through structured evidence and reporting.

• Developing DVPs, validation plans, and detailed test cases jointly with design engineering and stakeholders
• Coordinating facilities, instrumentation, tools, budgets, and resources required for system and vehicle test execution
• Executing development and final validation tests across functional, performance, reliability and integrated vehicle domains
• Analyzing results, documenting defects, and driving issue triage and follow-up recommendations with design and integration teams
• Reporting readiness, test outcomes, residual issues, and sign-off recommendations to program and engineering leadership
