Role: Vehicle Test Engineer

Experience – 5 to 10 years

Job Description

• Plan and execute vehicle testing activities on proving grounds and test tracks.
• Perform brake testing, including performance, fade, recovery, and ABS/ESC validation.
• Conduct handling, stability, and ride comfort tests.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data using data acquisition systems.
• Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings to development teams.
• Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support prototype vehicle builds and instrumentation.
• The Function Application Engineer is responsible for the vehicle performance relating to EBS control functions.
• Achieves the requested vehicle performance by adjusting functional parameters and evaluating other possible solutions related to the function and its boundaries (vehicle, brake system, ...).
• Coordinates all necessary steps to fulfill the requested vehicle performance.

• Point of contact, reviewer, and idea giver on vehicle level wrt new developments, new functions, and new technologies
• Expert for Technical Release Content VED Application project
• Specification: FSRS 1 and Safety Concept
• Responsible for the compliance to legal requirements
• Tuning, verification, and validation of control functions in the vehicle again performance- and safety-related requirements
• Execute the benchmarking and market analysis activities (shared)
• Expert for demo projects and feasibility studies
• Prototypic specification, integration, validation, and application in vehicle (full)
• Ensures quality of all work products, contributions, and results
• Point of contact and idea giver for driving improvements wrt quality & productivity
• Representation of R&D at customer and test tracks
• Technical support of quote activities/pre-development
• Drives the know-how of the location wrt vehicle dynamics and vehicle architecture

Screening Questions: Mandate

• Holding 4-wheeler driving license and possess driving experience for more than 30000 kms
• Willingness to take up dynamic vehicle driving for 5-8 hours in a day in adverse weather conditions (-30°C to 50°C)
