Job summary

Lancesoft in Chennai is hiring a Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) Analyst to drive vehicle dynamics simulations using MSC Adams tools. You will build system and full vehicle models, model suspensions, and perform DOE-driven optimizations.

Required: ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience, proficiency in MSC Adams (Car/View/Flex/Insight) and MATLAB/Python. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3–5 years in multibody simulations and vehicle dynamics.
• Proficiency with MSC Adams -Car/View, Adams/Flex, Adams-Insight; MATLAB/Python.
• Knowledge of CAE tools, simulation results interpretation, and DOE/optimization.

Responsibilities

• Perform MBD simulations using MSC Adams tools for system and full-vehicle level.
• Model heavy vehicle suspensions (bogie, leaf-spring, air-suspension).
• Conduct subsystem analyses (K&C, steering, suspension) and DOE studies.
• Run full-vehicle ride and handling simulations and load extraction.
• Correlate CAE tests and prepare comprehensive analysis reports.
• Interpret results and suggest improvements and optimizations.

Job Description

Key Competency:

• Expertise in Multi body dynamic simulation tools MSC Adams A/Car for commercial vehicles is a must.
• Exposure to Adams/Driveline and Adams/Controls
• Hands on experience in full vehicle and sub system level modeling and simulations
• Should have expertise in creating/customizing Adams/Car template building
• Continually strive to develop the tools/methods required to improve CAE MBD simulation capabilities in automotive domain
• Scripting for Adams customization and CAE process automation using python and ACL
• Ability to understand and interpret simulation results.
• Ability to setup models by understanding the physical systems, adopting current best practices and incorporating appropriate assumptions.
• Ability to learn and adapt.
• Trouble shooting and debugging skills.
• Understanding of tire models used for durability and handling
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink modelling and co-simulation with ADAMS
• Statistical knowledge on Data analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MBD (Multi Body Dynamic) simulation using MSC Adams tools
• Creation of MBD models [System level/ Full vehicle]
• Modelling of different types of heavy vehicle suspension (Bogie/Leafspring/Air- suspension systems).
• Perform Subsystem analysis like K&C, Steering/suspension system analysis and optimization/DOE studies.
• Perform Full Vehicle Simulations: Ride and Handling
• Load extraction at subsystem level and full vehicle level
• Knowledge of CAE-test correlation
• Interpretation and understanding simulations results, preparing comprehensive analysis reports, and suggest improvements and recommendations.

Requirements:

Education: ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Work experience: 3-5 years of experience on multibody simulations and vehicle dynamics

Tool experience: Proficient in MSC Adams -Car/View, Adams/Flex, Adams-Insight

Other tools: Matlab/Python
