Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Vehicle Packaging Engineer in Chennai to define architecture, develop packaging layouts and hard points, and coordinate cross-functional integration of body, chassis, powertrain, HVAC, interiors, and E/E systems.

You will participate in DFMEA, DFM, and DFA processes, manage design changes, and support prototype builds, validation, and production launches within a global engineering group committed to innovation and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Define vehicle architecture and platform concepts.
• Develop vehicle packaging layouts and hard points.
• Coordinate cross-functional integration of body, chassis, powertrain, HVAC, interiors, and E/E systems.
• Perform packaging feasibility and interface management.
• Conduct Digital Mock-Up (DMU) reviews and resolve packaging clashes.
• Create and maintain vehicle-level specifications and EBOM.
• Ensure compliance with safety, homologation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support DFMEA, DFM, and DFA.
• Manage design changes throughout the development cycle.
• Participate in prototype builds, validation, and production launch activities.
• Collaborate with styling, CAE, manufacturing, purchasing, and supplier teams

• Manage design changes throughout the development cycle.
• Participate in prototype builds, validation, and production launch activities.
• Collaborate with styling, CAE, manufacturing, purchasing, and supplier teams
