Job summary

Westernacher Consulting in India seeks a Value Advisor - SAP ERP & Business Network to design scalable backend solutions, shape architecture, and collaborate with global teams on enterprise SAP programs. You will help clients realize ROI through value-led approaches across finance, procurement and supply chain.

In this role you’ll lead discovery workshops, build business cases, and develop roadmaps for SAP modernization (RISE with SAP or related).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in business or management consulting, SAP advisory or value engineering.
• Strong finance and procurement process understanding and how SAP S/4HANA supports them.
• Experience with SAP Business Network / Ariba and multi-enterprise collaboration.
• Proven ability to run discovery sessions and build business cases or value cases.
• High financial literacy: ROI, TCO and NPV explained to C-level sponsors.
• Curiosity about AI and its application to business problems.
• Excellent storytelling, executive presence and written English.
• Degree in business, engineering or finance; MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Value Advisor - SAP ERP & Business Network to join our growing team in India. In this role, you will design and build scalable backend systems, contribute to technical architecture decisions, and collaborate with global teams to deliver secure, high-performing enterprise solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex projects, expand your technical expertise, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced consulting environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Discovery and business consulting

• Plan and lead discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders across finance, procurement, order-to-cash and record-to-report.
• Map current-state processes, pain points and KPIs (DSO, DPO, days-to-close, maverick spend, cost per invoice, working capital).
• Turn findings into a clear problem statement and a prioritized list of improvement opportunities.

Transformation roadmap

• Build phased roadmaps for ERP modernization: RISE with SAP or GROW with SAP, greenfield, brownfield or selective data transition, clean-core and BTP extension strategy.
• Position SAP Business Network (Ariba, Business Network for Logistics, supplier collaboration, e-invoicing) as part of an end-to-end, multi-enterprise process.
• Identify where AI (SAP Business AI, Joule, embedded ML, document automation, agentic use cases) delivers measurable impact, and sequence it realistically.

Value case and deal support

• Build business cases with baseline, benefit levers, investment, ROI, payback and NPV, backed by industry benchmarks and customer data.
• Present and defend the value case in executive meetings, steering committees and procurement negotiations.
• Co-own deal strategy with the Account Executive: win themes, solution narrative, proposal storyline and orals.

Brief and driver Presales and Practice Directors for demos and solution designs to prove the value case.

Thought leadership and growth

• Build reusable assets: discovery guides, value-lever libraries, industry point-of-views, ROI calculators.
• Track the SAP roadmap and the AI landscape; turn what is new into customer-ready stories.
• Contribute to events, webinars and LinkedIn content to build Westernacher’s market voice.

Your Expertise:

• 3–5 years in business or management consulting, SAP advisory, value engineering or solution consulting, ideally at a consulting firm, SAP partner or SAP itself.
• Solid understanding of finance and procurement processes and how SAP S/4HANA supports them.
• Working knowledge of SAP Business Network / Ariba and multi-enterprise collaboration.
• Proven experience running discovery sessions and building business cases or value cases.
• Strong financial literacy: you can explain ROI, TCO, NPV and working-capital impact to a CFO.
• Hands‑on curiosity about AI and emerging technology, with examples of applying it to a business problem.
• Excellent storytelling, executive presence and written English; comfortable defending numbers under challenge.
• Degree in business, engineering or finance; MBA a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with RISE with SAP, SAP Signavio process mining, or SAP BTP.

Good understanding in S/4HANA Finance, Sourcing & Procurement or Ariba.

Exposure to supply chain industries.
