Job Description
Texas Instruments RF Connectivity group is expanding their RF Transceiver Validation Group in Bangalore, India. The group develops cutting edge RF Transceiver products (+MCU integrated) for Wireless-LAN (WIFI) and Ultra-Wideband Systems (UWB).
Responsibilities
- Debug of the Transceiver SoC: Fast and systematic identification of issues in the blocks, root‑cause analysis, and driving solutions. This includes Power & Biasing issues, incorrect register sequences or values, board‑level problems, etc.
- RF Measurements: Understanding of RF, IF, and DC measurements such as Noise Figure, Gain, P1dB, IIP2, IIP3, IQ gain & phase error, LO leakage, DC offsets, and operating point measurements via test mode.
- PCB Board Development: Design of PCB schematic and layout, material selection and stack‑up, review of design changes, and collaboration with third‑party PCB service companies. Familiarity with Altium and Cadence Allegro flows.
- Test Automation and Interpretation of Measurements: Coding and automating measurement flows, instrument interfacing, data processing across PVT corners, visualization, and distinguishing IC vs. setup issues. Basic understanding of statistics and data sources.
- Interfaces: Ability to design and program interfaces such as SPI, UART, and UCI.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience with RF validation and debug of RF IPs.
- Understanding of RF systems and key instruments.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following areas: debug of the transceiver SoC, RF measurements, PCB board development, test automation and measurement interpretation, interfaces.
- Strong team player engaged with the Product Development and Radio Design teams.
