Job summary

Texas Instruments in Bangalore, India, is seeking a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer to join an innovative team responsible for validating advanced analog/migital ICs and embedded processors for mobile electronics.

You will develop validation boards, define validation strategies, and build automation to ensure robust performance across customer use-cases, collaborating closely with design and application teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop validation board, schematics and layout aligned with customer use-case; modularize validation board for generic flow and scalability.
• Build, design, and document the full validation plan with detailed understanding of device and system environment.
• Define the Validation Strategy in terms of Hardware, Software and Instrumentation.
• Build validation test cases and implement them in scripting languages (Python, TestStand, LabVIEW).
• Define, build the automation strategies and implement them through methodology, circuit, script and hardware innovations.
• Bring the device on the bench; perform system-level and parametric tests with a break-the-part mentality.
• Collaborate with system and design teams to understand device issues and propose SW-level workarounds.
• Debug device and setup-related issues to closure independently.
• Perform correlation studies between ATE and bench board char results.
• Engage with application engineers to help customers understand the device and propose fixes.

Senior Silicon Validation Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India

What will you be doing in this role?

• Develop validation board, schematics and layout, matching it withcustomer use-case & applications. The validation boards include - modularization of the Val board for generic flow, solving mixed-signal challenges, scalability of HW for many setups and most importantly closeness to the customer EVMs.
• Build, design, and document the full validation plan. The validation plan needs a detailed understanding of not only the device but also the system environment.
• Define the Validation Strategy in terms of Hardware, Software and Instrumentation
• Building Validation test cases and implementing them on different scripting languages. (i.e. Python, Test stand, lab view etc)
• Define, build the automation strategies and implement them through methodology, circuit, script and hardware innovations.
• Bring the device on the bench; Perform system level and parametric test on the bench with a strong break-the-part mentality.
• Close collaboration with system and design teams to understand the device issues and bugs and find the SW-level workaround for the fix.
• Debug device and setup-related issues and drive the issue to closure independently.
• Perform correlation study between ATE and bench board char results.

• Engaging on customer issues and fixes with application engineers, to help them understand the device better, help to fix the issues and provide modifications if any tweaks are needed. This is done in collaboration with Application engineers.
