Job summary

ALSTOM Gruppe in Hyderabad seeks a V&V Designer to lead validation campaigns for embedded systems, ensuring safety and reliability. You will work with cross-functional teams across systems, projects, quality, and safety, designing test plans and environments, and delivering high-quality test results.

The role emphasizes functional testing at subsystem and system levels, test environment/tool development, and adherence to software, V&V, and safety processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in verification and validation of complex embedded systems.
  • Experience in requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environments.
  • Proficiency in testing with NI Test Stand suite.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Knowledge of test life cycles, defect management, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Rectify, and DOORS.
  • Understanding of standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO-178B.
  • Domain knowledge in railway signaling, avionics, or a similar engineering field.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, C#, or Ada (Ada experience is desirable).

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality validation campaigns in real or simulated environments, ensuring the safety and reliability of our embedded solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (system, project, product, quality, and safety teams), design and execute test plans, and contribute to the development of our advanced railway solutions.

You’ll specifically take care of functional testing at both subsystem and system levels, but also design and validate test environments and tools.
