Job Summary
The UX Designer ensures seamless desktop, web and mobile designs. The UX designer will be responsible of successful implementation of UI/UX best practices and principles across all our digital platforms that serve Accelyst clients. You will also work with the Digital Product Manager and the IT team to develop UX design and UI functionality for new digital products and new features for existing digital products.
You will design software and service experiences for Accelyst’s clients and internal products. You will work as a core member of multi-disciplinary teams (research, design, innovation and product development) to bring innovative ideas and concepts to life. Lead the design process from concept to production with a partner development team.
Responsibilities
- Build storyboards to conceptualize designs to accurately convey project plans to clients and senior leaders
- Participate throughout the product design process – creating user flows, design low and high-fidelity user interface and prototypes
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems based on qualitative data and feedback
- Work with User researchers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX Designers in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Develop and deliver product interfaces using the iterative design and development process, in partnership with other teams/groups
- Familiarity with user research tools and preferably experienced in conducting UX research
- Contribute to the product discovery process and assist in validating core product ideas
- Effectively design interaction and transitions, ranging from small feature iterations to larger, complex, blue sky experiences
- Work closely with PMs and embed themselves in the development teams’ processes to stay ahead of reactionary design when possible
- Adapt design processes to fit the nature of the project need
- Collaborate with fellow designers, able to give and receive feedback gracefully
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working as a UX Designer on products
- Bachelor’s degree in design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Proficient in various interactive and visual design software and familiar with the official design standards of Web, iOS and Android
- Attach great importance to details, pursuing perfection, and loving human‑computer interaction and user insight
- Have product thinking and good user empathy, and be able to participate
- Ability to work and contribute to a fast‑paced client needs and metric‑driven
- Ability to think visually using tools like sketch notes etc.
- A curious mindset with desire to improve products or services
