Job summary

Valtech Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Frontend Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable frontend architectures for complex enterprise applications. You will architect robust solutions using React, Next.js, and micro frontends, enabling seamless integration with headless CMS and DXP platforms.

You will collaborate with engineering, UX, and product stakeholders to realize strategic goals, drive CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, testing, and performance

As a Frontend Lead, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performing frontend architectures for complex enterprise applications. You will architect robust solutions using React, Next.js, micro frontend frameworks, and BFF patterns, enabling seamless integration with headless CMS and DXP platforms. This role demands hands-on expertise with modern styling strategies, monorepo management, and cross-platform deployment while collaborating closely with engineering, UX, and product stakeholders to realize strategic business goals.

What you do

• 8-10 years of professional experience in frontend engineering and architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in React.js and Next.js for building scalable, component-driven applications.
• Hands-on experience implementing Micro frontend architectures, including module federation, single-spa, or similar frameworks.
• Proven ability to design and implement BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) APIs using Node.js or related frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of monorepo architectures using Nx, Turborepo, or similar solutions.
• Deep understanding and hands-on expertise with diverse styling approaches such as Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, SCSS, and theming strategies.
• Experience architect complex headless frontend applications, integrating with enterprise CMS/DXP platforms (AEM, Sitecore, Contentstack, Optimizely).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing for frontend applications.
• Experience deploying applications on hosting platforms such as Vercel, Netlify, and/or cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
• Strong focus on performance optimization, SEO best practices, security, and accessibility compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to React Native for mobile application development (added advantage).
• Knowledge of GraphQL and API orchestration for frontend consumption.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes for frontend deployments.
• Certifications in frontend frameworks or equivalent.

• Design and implement Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) APIs optimised for frontend consumption, performance, and security.
• Architect monorepo structures enabling modular, reusable component libraries and efficient multi-application management.
• Provide expert guidance on styling approaches, including Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, SCSS or hybrid strategies, based on project needs.
• Drive framework setup for headless implementations, integrating with CMS/DXP platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Content stack, or Optimizely for seamless content delivery.
• Deliver performant, accessible, SEO-friendly, and resilient applications adhering to modern engineering practices and web standards.
• Collaborate with backend architects, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders to design end-to-end solutions ensuring alignment with enterprise digital strategy.
• Establish and promote frontend coding standards, design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Integrate analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, GA4, Segment) to enable data-driven insights and optimise user experiences.
• Evaluate and onboard modern deployment platforms, including Vercel, Netlify, or traditional cloud providers (AWS, Azure), to achieve optimal performance and scalability goals.
• Mentor frontend developers, conduct design/code reviews, and provide architectural governance across multiple teams and projects.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, POCs, and innovation streams for emerging frontend technologies and frameworks.
