About the Role

Filings.us helps entrepreneurs and businesses with U.S. company incorporation, accounting, taxation, and ongoing compliance.

We are looking for an experienced US Accounting & Taxation Executive who can independently manage accounting, tax compliance, and ongoing statutory requirements for U.S.-based businesses.

The role involves working directly with clients, managing their accounting and tax requirements, coordinating documentation, and ensuring timely completion of federal and state-level compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and bookkeeping for U.S.-based LLCs and Corporations.
• Handle end-to-end books of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and other financial reports.
• Review and finalize books for U.S. tax filing requirements.
• Support preparation and filing of U.S. federal business tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and 5472, as applicable.
• Support state-level tax and compliance requirements, including franchise tax, annual reports, and sales tax basics.
• Assist with EIN applications and other IRS-related documentation.
• Understand compliance requirements for LLCs and C-Corporations across states such as Delaware, Wyoming, and others.
• Track federal and state filing deadlines and ensure timely compliance.
• Coordinate with clients for financial information, bank statements, invoices, tax documents, and other supporting records.
• Handle client onboarding, document collection, status updates, and accounting/tax-related queries.
• Maintain accurate client records, working papers, and compliance trackers.
• Work with state filing portals, IRS documentation, and registered agent workflows.
• Coordinate with U.S.-based CPAs, tax professionals, and attorneys when specialized assistance is required.

Requirements

• 26 years of relevant experience in U.S. Accounting, U.S. Taxation, or U.S. Business Compliance.
• Practical knowledge of U.S. accounting and bookkeeping.
• Experience or working knowledge of Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and 5472.
• Understanding of U.S. federal and state business compliance.
• Familiarity with LLCs, C-Corporations, EIN, annual reports, franchise tax, and registered agent workflows.
• Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with IRS requirements and U.S. state filing portals.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good client-handling and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple client assignments and deadlines.
• Comfortable with reasonable U.S. time-zone overlap when required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience with a U.S. accounting, taxation, incorporation, or business compliance firm is preferred.
• Candidates who have independently handled U.S. clients will be preferred.
• Good understanding of the complete lifecycle of a U.S. business, from incorporation to ongoing accounting, tax, and annual compliance.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients and U.S.-based professionals.
