Job summary

Alliance Recruitment Agency seeks a Senior CPA to lead US accounting and tax services from Chennai, driving business development and building a dedicated India-based team.

You will own P&L for the accounting vertical, guide client engagements, mentor staff, oversee IRS filings, and travel to the US as needed to present proposals and close deals.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent US accounting/tax qualification.
• 8–10 years of US accounting and taxation experience, including business development.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and related tools; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
• Ability to build and manage teams and back-office operations.
• Strong client relationship skills and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Pitch outsourced accounting and taxation services to US clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Business Development: Actively pitch for outsourced accounting and taxation projects by engaging with potential clients in the US.
• Travel to the US as needed to present proposals and secure business.
• Leadership and Team Building: Build and manage a dedicated team in India to handle US accounting and tax services.
• Train and mentor team members to ensure adherence to industry standards and client expectations.
• Accounting and Taxation Operations: Oversee IRS filings and maintenance of US SME/individual accounts.
• Utilize QuickBooks and other relevant tools to ensure accurate and efficient bookkeeping.
• Implement AI and other advanced technologies to streamline accounting processes.
• P&L and Compliance: Take full ownership of Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities for the accounting vertical.
• Maintain and uphold the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent knowledge of US accounting and taxation.
• Experience: 8-10 years of experience in US accounting and taxation, including business development.
• Technology Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting tools; knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
• Leadership: Proven experience in setting up and managing teams and back-office operations.
• Client Interaction: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to pitch services and build client relationships.
