System and Network Administrator (Linux):

Designations:

We have multiple requirements in Developers / ATLs / TLS and Managerial levels, so this would depend upon the candidate’s past experiences and qualifications.

Job brief:

We are looking for a Systems & Network Administrator to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. The candidate will also be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.

Responsibilities:

• Remotely monitor and maintain servers in various data centers nationwide and in Sri Lanka.
• Monitor and maintain network devices and Linux and Windows systems (desktops and servers).
• Configure new systems or network devices such as servers, routers, firewalls, and reconfigure existing servers like Squid Proxy, mail servers, etc.
• Work with technologies from Blade centers to SAN‑based clusters, advanced virtualized setups, and enterprise network devices from Juniper, Cisco, and D‑Link.
• Learn new technologies and work on advanced assignments.
• Work 2 night shifts a week.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree from a reputable university or related field or equivalent military or industry experience.
• Advanced degree from a reputable university or related field or equivalent military or industry experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience in Red Hat Linux.
• Red Hat Certification is required but not mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year experience in networking (configuring firewalls, routers, managed switches).
• CCNA is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of KVM virtualization is preferred.
• Must know how to configure Squid proxy, Sentmail and Dovecot servers, FTP server and Samba server.
• Knowledge of Linux shell scripting and crontab is required.
• Experience with configuring and monitoring Juniper devices is a major plus but not a requirement.
• Must be able to work 2 night shifts a week.
• Required experience: 1 year of experience in Linux System Administration.
