Job summary

URBN is seeking a Wash Specialist to lead global wash innovation, development, and process optimization across brands and product categories. You will act as the central expert for garment washing, dyeing, finishing, laundries, and wash technologies while collaborating with Design, Product Development, Production, Fabric, and Vendor teams worldwide.

You will curate seasonal wash projects to educate and inspire brands and drive sustainability through industry-leading practices.

Qualifications

• 12–18+ years in garment washing or textile wet-processing.
• Strong knowledge of garment dyeing, enzymes, bleach systems, pigments.
• Hands-on experience with laundry machinery including Tonello, Jeanologia, ozone, laser, and E-flow systems.
• Strong vendor management and global sourcing experience.
• Experience working with global brands, laundries, or major chemical suppliers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global wash innovation across brands and product categories.
• Benchmark and tier wash houses on capability, sustainability and cost.
• Provide technical support to PD, Production, Fabric and Vendors.
• Drive wash programs to improve aesthetics, sustainability, quality and margin.
• Support sustainability initiatives aligned with ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, and low-impact processing.

Role Summary

URBN is looking for a Wash Specialist to lead global wash innovation, technical wash development, and wash process optimizationacross brands and product categories. Serve as the central expert and benchmark forgarment washing, dyeing, finishing, laundries, and wash technologies while partnering withDesign, Product Development, Production, Fabric, and Vendor teams globally. This roleinvolves seasonal curation of on-trend wash projects to educate and inspire the brands.

Role Responsibilities

Research and introduce new wash techniques, chemicals, machinery, and sustainablelaundry technologies.Keep brand and cross-functional teams updated on global wash trends and innovation.Evaluate and tier global wash houses based on capability, sustainability, innovation,quality, and cost competitiveness.Benchmark wash costs globally across India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam,Turkey, and Central America.Provide technical support and troubleshooting to PD, Production, Fabric teams, andvendors.Drive wash innovation into core programs to improve aesthetics, sustainability, quality,and margin.Partner with Fabric and PD teams on seasonal wash presentations aligned with marketand brand concepts.Support sustainability initiatives aligned with ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, and low-impactprocessing.

Role Qualifications

12–18+ years in garment washing, laundries, denim, knit processing, or textile wetprocessing.Strong knowledge of garment dyeing, enzymes, bleach systems, softeners, pigmentwashes, abrasion techniques, and fleece processing.Hands-on experience with laundry machinery including Tonello, Jeanologia, ozone,laser, and E-flow systems.Strong vendor management and global sourcing experience.Experience working with global brands, laundries, or major chemical supplierspreferred.
