Job summary

Yajur Fibres Limited in India seeks an experienced Supervisor for wet processing (bleaching and dyeing). You will oversee end-to-end operations, ensure accurate dye formulations, and maintain batch records.

The role requires 5–7 years hands-on shop-floor experience in textile wet processing, with strong knowledge of dyes, auxiliaries, and shade correction. You will lead a small team and drive process improvements while ensuring quality and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot defects like uneven dyeing, patchy bleaching, or strength loss.
• Manage chemical consumption, liquor ratios, and water usage for cost efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain daily production logs, batch records, and chemical inventory.
• Coordinate with QC/QA to uphold shrinkage, fastness, and hand-feel specs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate end-to-end wet processing operations, including preparatory bleaching, batch dyeing, and finishing.
• Ensure accurate dye formulation, recipe development, and precise shade matching across different fabric lots.
• Monitor processing parameters (temperature, pH, liquor ratio, cycle times) to minimize batch-to-batch variation and rework.
• Troubleshoot operational defects such as uneven dyeing, patchy bleaching, or strength loss during the wet processing cycle.
• Manage chemical consumption, liquor ratios, and water usage to maintain cost efficiency and adhere to environmental compliance norms.
• Maintain daily production logs, batch records, and chemical inventory reports.
• Coordinate with quality control and assurance teams to uphold required shrinkage, fastness, and hand-feel specifications.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. / equivalent degree in Textile Technology / Textile Chemistry, OR a 3-year Diploma in Textile Technology with a 10+2 (Science) background.
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on shop-floor experience in textile wet processing (specifically bleaching and dyeing units).
• Strong practical understanding of textile dyes, auxilaries, processing machinery, and shade correction.
• Solid team-handling, problem-solving, and process-optimization skills.
