  • Ability to translate planning concepts into visually compelling design proposals.
  • Strong analytical, visualization, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop urban design concepts, frameworks, master plans, and area development proposals.
  • Prepare urban design studies, site analysis, concept plans, and development strategies.
  • Conduct site visits, site assessments, and contextual analysis of existing urban environments.
  • Develop proposals for streetscapes, public spaces, plazas, pedestrian areas, parks, and mixed-use developments.
  • Prepare urban design drawings, plans, sections, elevations, diagrams, and presentation materials.
  • Work on master planning, urban regeneration, transit-oriented development, and public realm projects.
  • Analyze land use, built form, density, connectivity, movement patterns, public spaces, and urban character.
  • Prepare 3D massing, visualization, diagrams, and design presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Coordinate with architects, urban planners, landscape architects, transportation consultants, GIS specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in preparing design guidelines, development frameworks, streetscape guidelines, and urban design standards.
  • Participate in client presentations, stakeholder consultations, design workshops, and project discussions.
  • Incorporate sustainability, accessibility, walkability, and climate-responsive principles into urban design proposals.
  • Support project teams in delivering high-quality design outputs within agreed timelines.

About the Role

We are seeking a creative, analytical, and detail-oriented Urban Designer with 1+ years of professional experience to join our multidisciplinary design and planning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of urban design principles, public realm design, spatial planning, streetscape development, and sustainable urban development. The candidate will contribute to the development of urban design concepts, master plans, area development strategies, public spaces, and detailed design proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop urban design concepts, frameworks, master plans, and area development proposals.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year of relevant professional experience in urban design, planning, architecture, landscape design, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of urban design principles, spatial planning, public realm design, and urban development.
  • Good design thinking and ability to translate planning concepts into visually compelling design proposals.
  • Strong analytical, visualization, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project deliverables.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, 3D visualization, or similar software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS is an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with rendering and visualization software such as Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, or similar tools is desirable.
