Job summary

Purple Drive Technologies in Bengaluru, India, requires a seasoned Field Service Technician for UPS equipment and related power distribution systems. You will handle startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs, and build strong relationships with customers, sales teams, distributors, and partners in the area.

Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, keeping spare parts inventory, coordinating with dispatch and supervisors, and documenting service activities.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Basic Level in English.
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in technical service area working in a service or test environment of UPS equipment.

• Respond to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures in the Field Procedure Manual.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with safety policy.
• Ensure spare parts are accounted for using established procedures.
• Keep Dispatching Team informed of schedule and status of open jobs.

Job description

• Responsible for startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. Required to establish, promote and maintain excellent relations with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area.
• Handling the major COLO centre projects, should be known the handling all type of PQA.
• Maintain continuous communications with dispatching team and the department Manager/Supervisor.
• Responsible for the assigned spares VAN stock.
• Follow and respect, in all its technical interventions, the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, and those that are specific to the client's facilities where the intervention is carried out.

• Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty
• Read, understand, and comply with all procedures outlined in the Field Procedure Manual
• Perform all work in a safe manner, and in accordance with established company safety policy
• Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures
• Keep Dispatching Team informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs9+
• Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors
• Submit weekly paperwork in a timely, accurate and complete manner and in case of Wireless Field Service debrief the performed job in a complete and accurate manner at the Customer's premises
• Keep company vehicle clean, neat and properly maintained
• Report and promotes sales or service leads to the proper department
• Attend customer meetings as required
• Being a reference point for key customers in case of emergency and troubleshooting
• Ensure availability to work during weekend and night in compliance with local labor laws
• Work closely with department supervisor to assist with day to day operational duties
• As a User, comply with the Company's ITC policy.
• To attend to the environmental trainings that are locally required.
• To know and to comply with the waste producer's requirements established by the current legislation, concerning the handling, transfer and storage of the wastes until their delivery to an authorized waste management company.
• To know and to comply with the procedures, instructions and action plans established by Vertiv Spain.
