Job summary

Grand Continent Hotels seeks a Hotel Unit Accountant in Dwarka to manage day-to-day hotel unit accounting, post journals, and maintain ledgers with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

You will drive month-end close, reconcile sub-ledgers, and prepare P&L/balance sheet schedules while ensuring GST and TDS compliance and contributing to MIS and cost-control analyses for unit leadership and corporate finance.

Qualifications

• B.Com or equivalent in Accounting/Finance with 1-3 years of hotel or hospitality accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS and India statutory compliance; experience with tax provisions and filings.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/PMS systems (Oracle OPERA, Tally, SAP, or similar) and reconciliations between POS/PMS and GL.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas) and ability to produce MIS on tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to meet month-end close timelines.

• Drive month-end and quarter-end closing; prepare trial balance and P&L/balance sheet schedules.
• Perform revenue reconciliations across POS/PMS (rooms, F&B, banquets) and ensure posting of revenue and taxes.
• Ensure GST, TDS, payroll compliance; assist with tax provisions and returns.
• Support audits with schedules, explain variances, and strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare MIS and reports for unit leadership and corporate finance; suggest cost controls.

Primary Job Title: Hotel Unit Accountant

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for the hotel unit: post journal entries, maintain ledgers, and ensure timely recording of all revenue and expense transactions.
• Drive month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities: prepare trial balance, reconcile sub‑ledgers (AR, AP, payroll, fixed assets), and produce accurate P&L and balance sheet schedules.
• Perform revenue reconciliations across POS/PMS systems (rooms, F&B, banquets, other operating revenues) and ensure timely posting of revenue and taxes.
• Ensure statutory compliance for GST, TDS, payroll‑related filings, and assist with monthly tax provisions and returns.
• Support internal and external audits: prepare schedules, explain variances, and implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare periodic MIS and operational reports for unit leadership and corporate finance (cost reports, variance analysis, cashflow updates) and suggest cost‑control measures.
