Position Summary
The general role for the Turner is to measure each large and small component to ensure they will fit together properly in the final design and to identify potential problems by understanding machine specifications and drawings before the production process. The Turner reports to the Production supervisor and is responsible for ensuring all tasks related to his scope of work are executed according to HSE standards and corporate policies.
General Responsibilities

- Follow LIN SCAN Process Flow Charts and coordinate with other departments as required
- Assure timely and accurate reporting to LIN SCAN IT Department
- Identify training requirements
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Study assembly specifications to determine efficient order of processes for projects
- Measure each component to ensure proper fit in final design
- Identify potential problems by reviewing machine specifications and drawings before production
- Assemble metal components and polish finished parts
- Manufacture metal components and assemble them into tools, machinery, and machine components
- Maintain equipment
- Take accurate measurements
- Collaborate with machinists
- Execute other tasks as requested by R&D Director or immediate Supervisor
Skills / Experience
- ITI Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical (Industrial Training Institute)
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in engineering/design for production of design/shop drawings/material submittals
- 5–7 years experience operating manual lathe machines & fabrication
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Prior experience in inline inspection is preferred
- Knowledge of Siemens & Fanuc CNC operating systems
- Language: Hindi, English (speaking and understanding English)

Physical & Mental Requirements
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Mobility: walk and climb for duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders
- Communication: clear speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities
- Focus & multitasking: maintain focus and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Safety equipment: wear required safety gear for personal protection
- Personal mobility and reflexes sufficient to perform office duties and travel to off‑site locations when necessary
