Position Summary
The general role of the Turner is to measure each large and small component to ensure they fit together properly in the final design and to identify potential problems by understanding machine specifications and drawings before the production process. The Turner reports to the Production Supervisor and must execute all tasks related to his scope of work in accordance with HSE standards, corporate plans, and approved policies.

- Identify training requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Study assembly specifications to determine the most efficient order of processes for specific projects.
- Measure each large and small component to ensure proper fit in the final design.
- Identify potential problems by understanding machine specifications and drawings before the production process.
- Assemble metal components.
- Polish finished components.
- Manufacture and assemble metal components to construct tools, industrial machinery, and machine components.
- Maintain equipment.
- Take accurate measurements.
- Collaborate with machinists.
- Execute additional tasks as requested by the R&D Director or immediate Supervisor within the assigned job role.
Skills/Experience
- ITI Technical certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial Training Institute).
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in an engineering/design department for production of design/shop drawings and material submittals.
- 5–7 years of experience working on manual lathe machines and fabrication.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Prior experience in inline inspection is preferred.
- Knowledge of Siemens and Fanuc control operating systems.
- Proficiency in Hindi and English (spoken and written).
