HSBC Software Development India in Pune is seeking an experienced Consultant Specialist to provide end-to-end production support, monitor PDP/PDL/TDS, and drive problem management.

You will lead crisis calls, investigate major system incidents, implement automation, and ensure compliance with policy, while collaborating across teams. This role offers work across Big Data platforms, GCP tools, and modern DevOps practices within a global bank.

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope of day-to-day Production Support including live incident resolution and post-resolution problem management.
• Monitor and support PDP/PDL/TDS and Archive services.
• Provide workarounds/resolutions and participate in crisis calls.
• Identify root causes of major system problems and propose fixes.
• Contribute to automation and new production support concepts.
• Ensure compliance with Group Compliance Policy and participate in testing for new implementations.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Providing full scope of the day to day Production Support service including resolution of the live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities.
• Primarily monitoring/supporting the overall PDP / PDL / TDS and Archive services.
• To provide workarounds/resolutions with Active participation in crisis calls.
• Technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems - inputs based on business/operations requirements.
• Participate and contribute in implementing automations/new production support concepts in the team.
• Ensuring use of best practices are followed by complying with Group Compliance Policy.
• Creating batch plans and supporting weekend releases, raising production change orders, support of the various testing activities related to the new implementations.
• Be part of Reviewing, designing and re-engineering processes with new technologies to improve performance.
• Contributing productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals.

To be successful, you will:

• Ability to lead technical conversations with various technical support groups. Strong analytical skills/Troubleshooting/debugging SQL, Unix and Stored Procedures. Hands-on experience on tools like App D / Splunk / Control-M /Ansible / JIRA.
• Experience in Big Data Platforms. Expertise in supporting GCP platform – Cloud SQL, Big Query, Dataproc, DataFlow, Data Studio and other Native GCP tools.
• Good to have knowledge in supporting - Hadoop, Hive 2.7.3 & above. Experience of high frequency change, specifically adoption, engineering, and execution of automated CICD pipelines
• Understanding of Unix and Shell scripting. Investigation / Analysis / Fixing of Production incidents. Managing the health of Production systems. Ensuring SLAs are met. Experience in Agile/ DevOps environment and in assisting in production support.
• Good communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate in the production/crisis calls. Understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in Payments domain - ISO would be added advantage. Open to working in UK/US shift, weekends and to be on-call support after office hours on need basis (Rotational)
• Ready to take up and support multiple services across production Engineering world to support them technology basis rather functional.
