Job summary

Team Computers in Chennai is seeking an entry-level TRC Engineer Hardware & Chip Level to join our Technical Repair Center. You will perform hands-on testing, troubleshoot motherboard issues, and repair IT hardware such as laptops and desktops.

This role requires a Diploma or ITI in Electronics or Hardware Engineering; freshers with up to 1 year of experience are welcome. On-site work at our Chennai center with training in safety and anti-static practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or Hardware Engineering is mandatory.
• Good baseline understanding of motherboard architecture and basic electronics.
• Ability to read circuit schematics and use repair tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic checks and component-level repairs on IT hardware.
• Soldering and desoldering of SMD and THT components.
• Test repaired boards using basic diagnostic tools.
• Disassemble and reassemble laptops/desktops following ESD safety guidelines.
• Log repair details in internal maintenance portal.

Job Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, entry-level TRC Engineers to join our Technical Repair Center in Chennai. This role involves hands-on testing, chip-level troubleshooting, soldering, and repairing IT hardware components like motherboards, display units, and power circuitry.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware & Chip-Level Repair: Perform diagnostic checks and component-level repairs on IT hardware (laptops, desktops, motherboards, PCBs).
• Soldering & Component Rework: Execute precise soldering and de-soldering of SMD (Surface Mount Devices) and THT components using soldering irons and hot-air rework stations.
• Testing & Quality Checks: Test defective logic boards using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and standard diagnostic software tools to confirm stability post-repair.
• Disassembly & Assembly: Dismantle and reassemble laptops/desktops safely following anti-static (ESD) and safety guidelines.
• Documentation: Log defect types, replacement parts, and repair statuses in the internal maintenance portal.

Candidate Eligibility & Technical Skills

• Qualification: Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or Hardware Engineering (Mandatory).
• Core Knowledge: Good baseline understanding of motherboard architecture, basic electronics (resistors, capacitors, MOSFETs, diodes), and circuit schematics.
• Tools Handling: Familiarity with basic repair toolkits - multimeters, soldering irons, desoldering pumps, and power supplies.
• Shift/Location: Willingness to work on-site at our Chennai repair center.
