Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in India is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to lead regional transport projects, adapt to diverse cultures, and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. The role requires knowledge of UK regional modelling guidance, GIS tools, and database usage.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in Transport Planning, have 6+ years’ experience in transport planning, and be proficient in Python, Power BI, Excel VBA, and R.

• 6+ years working in Transport Planning.
• Experience with TIS Reviews and Strategic Transport Planning.
• Experience in Rail Planning and related policy context.

Your role

• Be highly self-motivated and ambitious.

• Experience in the use of analytical and research tools such as GIS and the use of databases.

• Professional membership of a relevant institution.
• Experience in programming skills like Python, PowerBI, Excel-VBA and R.

About you

• Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree with Master’s degree in Transport Planning).
• Working experience (6+ years) in Transport Planning.
• Experience and knowledge of TIS Reviews.
• Experience and knowledge of Strategic Transport Planning work.
• Experience and knowledge of Rail Planning work.
• Knowledge of the technical transport planning environment.
• Strong numerate and analytical abilities, including high degree of competence in MS Excel.
• Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project.
• Experience in leading smaller teams as part of a project delivery.
• Good written communication skills.
• Be able to work individually.
