Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Transmission Designer to create engineering drawings (Plan & Profile, structure framing/loading), reports, and designs to support engineers. You will use CADD tools for both rough sketches and detailed work, incorporate client markups, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include communicating with engineers, reviewing and redrafting with the team, and prioritizing multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Civil/Electrical with 1-10 years of experience OR ITI in Civil/Electrical with 3-10 years of experience as CADD designer.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Microsoft Office Suite and drafting AutoCAD.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Proven verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of overhead transmission line construction methods is preferable.
• Experience with various CADD tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth, Revit, Civil3D.
• Knowledge regarding survey, easements, right-of-way, and permitting.
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work.
• Flexibility to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide.
