Transmission Line Designer

Job Description

• Proficient in the English language.
• Proven verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of overhead transmission line construction methods is preferable.
• Experience with various CADD tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth, Revit, Civil3D.
• The preparation of engineering drawings like Plan & Profile, permitting, assembly, and structure framing/loading drawings, reports and designs to support engineers.
• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.
• Picking up the markups as per the client requirement.
• Communicating with engineers and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
• Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
• Work independently but with some engineering guidance on complex projects.
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with regulations.
• Identifying and communicating potential design/drafting problems to the rest of the team.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients.
• Ownership responsibility in the assigned work is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Electrical with 1-10 years of experience OR ITI in Civil/Electrical with 3-10 years of experience as CADD designer.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite and drafting AutoCAD.
