Job summary

Incomlend is seeking a Transaction Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end processing of approved trade finance transactions, from post-credit approval to funding readiness. The role sits at the nexus of Trade Operations and Funding Operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely funding.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years in trade finance or banking ops, 2+ years in people management, and a strong grasp of trade finance instruments, documentation, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in trade finance or banking operations.
• At least 2 years in a people management role.
• Strong understanding of trade finance instruments and documentation.
• Experience with transaction processing, settlements and cash management.

• Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

• Collaborate with Trade Operations, Credit, Risk, Funding Operations, and other functions for seamless execution.
• Drive automation, workflow enhancements and continuous process improvements.
• Monitor operational KPIs and SLAs to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Lead, coach and develop the Transaction Operations team to achieve high performance.
• Manage team workload, performance objectives and resource planning.
• Prepare operational dashboards, transaction reports and MIS.
• Analyse operational performance, identify trends and recommend improvements.

The Transaction Operations Manager is responsible for leading the operational execution of all approved trade finance transactions from post-credit approval through to funding readiness. The role serves as the operational control point between Trade Operations and Funding Operations, ensuring transactions are accurately reviewed, structured, calculated, documented and executed in accordance with internal policies, funder requirements and regulatory standards. The role is accountable for transaction quality, operational risk management, service delivery, process efficiency and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transaction Management

• Lead the end-to-end operational processing of approved trade finance transactions.
• Ensure transactions comply with approved credit terms and internal policies.
• Review trade documentation for completeness, accuracy and eligibility.
• Validate transaction structures prior to funding.
• Manage transaction amendments and operational exceptions.
• Oversee the review and validation of trade documents, invoices and supporting documentation.
• Ensure transaction documentation is complete, accurate and funding-ready before execution.

Financial Calculations

• Review and approve funding calculations, including advance amounts, fees, discount rates and repayment schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy of settlement instructions and transaction-related financial computations.

Cash & Settlement Management

• Oversee cash movements, transaction settlements, collections and repayments.
• Monitor cash flow schedules and ensure timely reconciliation of transaction activities.

Operational Controls & Risk

• Establish and maintain effective operational controls to minimise risk and ensure policy compliance.
• Manage operational exceptions, audit findings and process improvements to strengthen governance.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Trade Operations, Credit, Risk, Funding Operations, and other business functions to ensure seamless transaction execution.
• Act as the primary operational contact for transaction-related issues and escalations.

Process Improvement

• Drive automation, workflow enhancements and continuous process improvements.
• Monitor operational KPIs and SLAs to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Lead, coach and develop the Transaction Operations team to achieve high performance.
• Manage team workload, performance objectives and resource planning.

Reporting & MIS

• Prepare operational dashboards, transaction reports and management information.
• Analyse operational performance, identify trends and recommend improvements.
