Job summary

Security and Intelligence Services (SIS) in Pune seeks an experienced Training Officer to design, conduct, and monitor training programs for housekeeping and soft services teams to uphold hygiene, safety, grooming, and client satisfaction.

You will lead inductions, refresher and on-the-job training, develop modules from SOPs and client requirements, and assess competency through practical demonstrations and quizzes, coordinating with Operations and Site Supervisors to align with client SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Facility Management, Soft Services, Housekeeping, or Training.
• Strong hands-on experience in Housekeeping & Soft Services training.
• Experience in training large frontline teams in commercial, corporate, residential, hospital, mall, hotel, or similar facilities.
• Good knowledge of housekeeping SOPs, cleaning methods, hygiene, safety, chemicals, equipment, and service standards.

Responsibilities

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Training Officer with strong expertise in Soft Services, Housekeeping, and Facility Management. The candidate will be responsible for designing, conducting, and monitoring training programs for housekeeping and soft service teams to ensure high standards of service delivery, hygiene, safety, grooming, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct induction, refresher, on-the-job, and skill-based training for housekeeping and soft service employees.
• Develop and deliver training modules based on SOPs, work instructions, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Train frontline staff on:
  • Housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards
  • Hygiene and sanitation
  • Grooming and personal hygiene
  • Cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Safety procedures and safe working practices
  • Waste management and sustainability practices
  • Customer service and workplace etiquette
• Conduct practical demonstrations and evaluate employee performance.
• Identify training and competency gaps and prepare improvement plans.
• Coordinate with Operations Managers, Facility Managers, and Site Supervisors to understand operational training requirements.
• Maintain training calendars, attendance records, assessment reports, and other training documentation.
• Conduct periodic assessments, quizzes, practical evaluations, and competency checks.
• Monitor the effectiveness of training and recommend corrective actions.
• Support new site mobilization by providing training to newly deployed manpower.
• Ensure training compliance as per client SLAs, SOPs, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits/visits to assess housekeeping standards and identify areas requiring additional training.
• Prepare and submit periodic training reports and MIS to management.
• Stay updated with new housekeeping techniques, cleaning technologies, equipment, and best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Facility Management, Soft Services, Housekeeping, or Training.
• Strong hands-on experience in Housekeeping & Soft Services training.
• Experience in training large frontline teams in commercial, corporate, residential, hospital, mall, hotel, or similar facilities will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of housekeeping SOPs, cleaning methods, hygiene, safety, chemicals, equipment, and service standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct practical demonstrations and engage frontline employees.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to travel to different client sites in Pune as required.
