Job Description

The Trainee Pharmacist is responsible for assisting licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications, maintaining pharmacy inventory, preparing prescriptions, and learning hospital pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and patient safety standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescribed medications.
• Verify prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Organize, label, and store medicines appropriately.
• Monitor medicine stock levels and expiry dates.
• Assist in inventory management and stock verification.
• Maintain pharmacy records and dispensing documentation.
• Support receiving and arranging pharmaceutical supplies.
• Follow Good Pharmacy Practices (GPP) and hospital SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
• Learn hospital pharmacy workflows, medication safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and medication safety.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Senior Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
