Job summary

Wabtec in Uttar Pradesh seeks a skilled Machining Technician to operate and inspect machine parts, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications. You will perform measurement-based quality checks and work with standard and special machine tools in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experiences in machining or assembling dismantling components.
  • This position requires accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
  • Training and/or experience using measuring equipment and reading drawings is needed.
  • Diploma in Mechanical engineering / Production or Equitant.
  • Must be able to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
  • Ready to work in shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of cutting tools and materials.
  • Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed.
