Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in India is seeking a skilled Machinist to produce and inspect machine parts, read blueprints, and operate standard and special machine tools. You will work in shifts and contribute to safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires 1-3 years of machining or assembly experience, a Mechanical diploma, and the ability to read drawings and shop orders. Overtime and weekend work may be required as part of production.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experiences in machining or assembling dismantling components.
  • This position requires accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
  • Training and/or experience using measuring equipment and reading drawings is needed.
  • Diploma in Mechanical engineering / Production or Equitant.
  • Must be able to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
  • Ready to work in shifts, overtime and weekends.

  • Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed.
