Alstom Transportation in Coimbatore invites applications for a full-time Trainee role in Tamil Nadu. You will be involved in assembling and testing products on the shop floor, while contributing to quality, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll work with cross-functional teams across supply chain, sourcing, industrialization and quality control, upskilling through structured training programs and on-the-job learning within a supportive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test products on the shop floor.
• Improve 5S and shop floor standards.
• Ensure on-time delivery and meet PDP targets.
• Escalate technical constraints to team leaders or EPU managers for solutions.
• Handle company property such as tools, jigs, fixtures, and dongle keys with care.
• Maintain discipline and punctuality on the shop floor.
• Support WP hours and assist in process improvements.
• Adhere to documents and procedures to ensure quality in processes.
• Improve product quality and reduce costs.
• Follow safety procedures and norms in the factory and at workstations.
• Participate in training programs and organizational development activities.
• Propose SQCD improvement ideas through creative thinking

Youll contribute to ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and products that meet company standards. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (such as supply chain, sourcing, industrialization, and quality control), upscale technical constraints to team leaders or EPU managers, and much more.

Youll specifically take care of assembling and testing products, but also improving shop floor standards and ensuring timely delivery.

• Self-managing SQCD targets in Daily Work Management (DWM) APSYS board
• Maintaining on-time delivery (OTD) as per PDP targets
• Improving and sustaining 5S standards on the shop floor
• Escalating technical constraints to team leaders or EPU managers for solutions
• Handling company property, such as tools, jigs, fixtures, and dongle keys, with care
• Maintaining discipline and punctuality on the shop floor
• Respecting Work Package (WP) hours and supporting team leaders or EPU managers in process improvements
