Job summary

Alstom Transportation in Bengaluru invites a Process Engineer to join our industrial engineering team. You will shape efficient manufacturing processes, drive QCD targets, and work with Engineering, Production and Quality to improve design, processes and documentation.

The role focuses on macro-process design, line balancing during specification, workstation layouts and retrofit industrialization after serial production starts.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–6 years experience in manufacturing or railway industry.
• Knowledge of process engineering, lean manufacturing and work instructions.
• Familiarity with ERP tools SAP for BOMs, routings and configuration follow-up.
• Knowledge of quality, EHS standards and ergonomics.
• CAD/PLM tools such as CATIA/DELMIA.
• Experience with Process FMEA and QRQC methods.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Self-motivation, logical thinking and organized approach.

Responsibilities

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping efficient manufacturing processes and ensuring quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets are met. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Production, and Quality teams), participate in product design phases, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll specifically take care of macro-process design and line balancing during the specification phase, but also industrial documentation, workstation layouts, and retrofit industrialization after serial production starts.
