Job summary

BHEL - Ranipet is seeking a Traffic Executive based in Walajapet to manage loading, vehicle sourcing and coordination across customers, operations, drivers and brokers. This full-time role requires strong negotiation and planning skills to ensure timely movement of ODC/FTL shipments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• BHEL Loading Process, Site Coordination works.
• Arrange and place local market vehicles (trailers, cranes, tippers, trucks, hydraulic axles, etc.) based on customer requirements.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers and transport vendors.
• Maintain a strong network of transport brokers, fleet owners, and vehicle suppliers.
• Source vehicles from the local market to meet urgent operational requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, operations teams, drivers, brokers, and vendors for timely vehicle placement.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time loading, dispatch, transit, and delivery.
• Handle transportation planning for ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) and FTL (Full Truck Load) shipments.
• Ensure timely completion of loading and unloading activities by coordinating with site teams.
• Verify transportation documents, including permits, e-way bills, invoices, PODs, gate passes, and other statutory documents.
• Maintain daily records of vehicle placement, freight rates, broker payments, and operational updates.
• Resolve transportation issues, delays, and vehicle shortages to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Keep track of market freight trends and provide updates on transportation rates.

Requirements
