Job summary

Neo Wealth and Asset Management in Mumbai is seeking a Trading Applications Specialist to ensure the seamless operation of our trading platforms and provide critical desk support. The role emphasizes enhancing trading systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy upgrades and fixes.

You will automate EOD/BOD processes, troubleshoot complex IT environments, and manage version control while maintaining system stability in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years in Indian financial services with exposure to trading systems.
• Familiarity with CTCL environment, DMA, Algo trading, NEAT, and BOLT.
• Experience with FIX/NNF protocols.
• Automation of daily system life-cycle via scripting (Python, Shell).
• Strong troubleshooting in complex IT environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational DBs (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Linux (Red Hat/ Rocky), Ubuntu and Windows administration for interface systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level support for all trading applications, systems, and related infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve issues before they impact operations; liaise with trading desk for inquiries and updates.
• Support during Internal Audits, Exchange Certifications, and Mock Participations.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy new applications, upgrades, and patches.
• Oversee closure of issues with internal teams and vendors; conduct root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Manage version controls of trading applications.
• Work with vendors to resolve production issues and implement enhancements.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trading Applications Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our trading platforms, providing essential support to our trading desks and enhancing the trading systems on continuous basis. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of trading operations, allowing them to troubleshoot issues efficiently, maintain system stability, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our trading environment.

This role may require working flexible hours, and occasional weekends, to support trading operations and system releases

Key Responsibilities

Trading Application Specialist

• Provide first and second-level support for all trading applications, systems, and related infrastructure.
• Familiarity with trading systems and Exchange connectivity. Capable of identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact operations.
• Liaise directly with trading desk to resolve inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide status updates.
• Provide support during Internal Audits, Exchange Certifications, and Mandatory Exchange Mock Participations.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy new applications, system upgrades, and patches.
• Oversee the closure of issues reported by users in close coordination with various internal teams and with Vendors.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Manage the version controls of trading applications.
• Closely work with Application vendors to resolve issues related to production or product and system enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in within the Indian financial services industry, with exposure to trading systems (Greeksoft, uTrade, NPrime, Kambala, Omnesys, etc)
• Familiarity with Indian trading setups such as CTCL environment, DMA, Algo trading, NEAT, and BOLT.
• Familiarity with trading protocols such as FIX protocol, NNF Protocol, etc.
• Experienced in automating daily system life-cycle (EOD, BOD processes) through scripting (Python, Shell, etc.).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting complex IT environments.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server) for data querying and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Linux (Red Hat / Rocky), Ubuntu and Windows systems for administration, file management for Interface systems and Exchanges (NSE, BSE, MCX).
• Knowledge of Change Management, and Release Management processes
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced trading environment.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience with specific OMS Systems such as GreekSoft, UTrade, Kambala, Omnesys etc.
• Hands-on with commonly used Trading Applications and Tasks (e.g., GreekSoft, Utrade, NPrime, Omnesys, Kambala, Connect2nse, Neat Plus, ENIT, Pre-trade risk limits management systems, Client set-ups).
• Experience implementing exchange-mandated enhancements and compliance change.
