Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited in India is seeking a senior import/export operations leader to manage all logistics in line with Indian customs and trade regulations within electronics manufacturing.

You will ensure HS classification, duties, exemptions, and FTAs; supervise audits, post-clearance activities, and hazardous goods compliance, coordinating DGFT, Customs, and MeitY requirements; a strong background in DGFT, BIS QCO, and international logistics is essential.

Qualifications

  • 7-8+ years of import/export operations and customs compliance in manufacturing.
  • Experience in electronics or semiconductor industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian customs law, DGFT FTP, hazardous goods regulations, Incoterms and international logistics practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all import, export and bonded operations in line with Indian customs and foreign trade rules.
  • Ensure accurate HS classification, customs valuation, origin, and duty benefits under FTAs.
  • Oversee compliance for electronics/IT goods with DGFT, BIS QCO, MeitY, WPC, and DOT.
  • Act as primary contact during audits, post-clearance reviews and investigations.
  • Coordinate licenses, permits, and approvals with DGFT, Customs and related boards.
  • Identify and mitigate customs and logistics-related risks.

Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade; postgraduate qualifications preferred

Desired Experience Level

  • 7-8+ years of experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, andlogisticswithin manufacturing environments, preferably electronics or semiconductor industries.

Strong knowledge of Indian customs law, DGFT FTP, hazardous goods regulations, Incoterms, and internationallogisticspractices, DGFT.

    • Act as the primary point of contact during customs audits, post-clearance audits, investigations, and regulatory reviews.
