Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the operations and continuous improvement of cloud and perimeter security services within Google Cloud Platform environments. The individual ensures operational excellence, drives process innovation, and empowers the support team to deliver on complex project requirements and client SLAs. They provide expert technical leadership, problem-solving, and strategic direction to enhance security posture and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize cloud security operations by implementing advanced GCP Security tools and perimeter security solutions, ensuring robust protection of cloud assets and adherence to industry best practices.
• Lead incident response and problem resolution for complex security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and GCP-native security services, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational workflows, leveraging automation and monitoring tools, and integrating new security technologies to enhance the security posture.
• Mentor and guide the security operations team in best practices for cloud and perimeter security, fostering a culture of technical excellence and proactive risk management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand client security requirements, translating them into actionable operational processes and ensuring consistent delivery of services aligned with SLAs.
• Provide expert-level input on security architecture and operational strategies for GCP environments, contributing to strategic planning and innovation in cloud security operations.

Skill Requirements

• Advanced Proficiency In Perimeter Security Operations, Including Firewalls, Waf, Ids/Ips, Vpns, And Network Segmentation.
• Excellent Ability To Use Siem Tools (E.G., Splunk, Chronicle), Automation/Orchestration Platforms, And Incident Management Systems In Cloud Environments.
• Strong Understanding Of Cloud Security Frameworks, Regulatory Compliance (E.G., Iso 27001, Gdpr), And Risk Management Best Practices.
• Excellent ProblemSolving Skills And Ability To Lead Complex Operational Projects Independently.
• Expert Communication And Mentoring Skills Within Technical Teams.
