Job summary

Hero MotoCorp, the world\'s leading motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, is seeking a TM/Line In charge in Tool Engineering. You will manage day-to-day shift operations, tool issuance, cost tracking, and tool planning for new models while driving TPM, 5S, and safety audits.

Ideal candidates hold a B.Tech in Mechanical with 4+ years of experience, and hands-on exposure to tooling, jigs, fixtures, SAP, and IMS.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical, preferably from NTTF/IGTR.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience on Tooling, Jigs and Fixtures.
• Knowledge of latest cutting tool technology.
• Knowledge of Tool Engg systems & SAP, TPM, IMS, QC Tools.
• FMEA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Daily & monthly tool inventory management.
• Manage shift operation and tool issuance.
• Prepare Tool Cost MIS & analysis.
• Oversee tool and wear part ordering.
• Vendor management and cost improvement projects.
• Lead team on TPM and 5S & safety audits.
• Conduct tool breakage analysis and regrinding.
• IMS documentation and tool inspection.

As a TM/Line In charge – you will be a part of Tool Engineering department and will report to Section Head - Tool Engineering.Your role will be:
To manage day to day shift operation, tool issuance, tool cost monitoring, tool inventory, tool breakge analysis, tool & wear part ordering as per production plan. Tool Planning for new model .

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• 1- Daily & monthly tool inventory (Inventory management)
• 2- Shift Operation & tool issuance.
• 3- Tool Cost MIS & analysis.
• 4- Tool & wear part ordering.

• 6- Improvement projects to reduce tool cost.
• 7- Team management.
• 8- Tool breakage analysis.
• 9- Tool regrinding.
• 10- CLRI, 5S, Safety audits
• 11- TPM
• 12- DA preparation & closure.
• 13- Tool inspection.
• 14- IMS & documentation.

A Day in the life

Tool Engineering should run smoothly and Provide Right Tool at Right Time at Right Cost, inhouse spare manufacturing planning and improvement activities on daily basis.

Academic Qualification & Experience

B.Tech in Mechanical (Prefered from NTTF / IGTR)
4+ years of relevant experience
