Job summary

SKAPS Industries in Mundra, Gujarat, India, is seeking an Engineer to oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure on-time delivery with quality standards. You will plan, manage schedules, monitor customer orders, and control costs while coordinating with finishing, inspection and dispatch teams.

The role requires hands-on involvement in production planning, process improvements and adherence to quality systems; travel to sites may be required, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and control.
• Knowledge of quality processes and fabric processing.
• Ability to manage manpower and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations with production planning and control.
• Achieve production targets with zero defects and track customer orders via action plans.
• Control costs, raw materials, spare parts and wastage within budgeted levels.
• Daily quality checks on shades, knitting, test approvals and corrective actions.
• Underst and compliance systems in Quality, knowledge of fabric processing quality.
• Handle finishing, inspection, dispatch, consumption budgets and losses.
• Manpower management and control.
• Strong writing, organization and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for short-term and extended field assignments, including weekends.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused with ability to meet challenges.
• Basic AutoCAD skills.

Job Responsibilities

As an Engineer one needs to oversee the daily workings of manufacturing operations. Plans, manages, and implements schedules to ensure deadlines are met, and maintains a high-quality standard of product production and delivery.

• Overall responsibilities in production planning & control.
• Achieving production targets, desired quality product with zero defects and tracking of all customer orders by Time & Action plans and timely action to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Controlling Cost, Raw Material, Spare parts and Wastage within budgeted levels.
• Daily checking/tracking of quality in terms of shades, knitting and test approvals and cause identification of undesirable quality. To implement corrective and preventive measures and inform the same to concern deptt./ section.
• Knowledge of Compliance system in Quality Department. Knowledge of fabric processing and its quality (physical and technical aspects.) Knowledge of all types of Knitted Fabrics.
• Also responsible to deal and handle various issues related to Finishing, Inspection, Dispatch, consumption budget, losses etc.
• Manpower management and control.
• Strong technical writing, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel for short-term and extended field assignments, including some weekends.
• Must be detail-oriented and quality-focused with the ability to meet any challenge
• Basic AutoCAD skills.
