Responsibilities

• Oversee fabric quality control processes and maintain detailed records of quality metrics and fabric performance
• Proficient in understanding knit and woven fabric properties and their impact on finished garments
• Ensure quality standards and inspection processes align with GEX/Buyer standards across the vendor base
• Coordinate with mills and sourcing teams to address quality issues; note FOC if any
• Maintain records on fabric performance and practical know-how on denim and RFID before/after QC
• Identify and drive process improvements at mills based on warehouse and manufacturing feedback

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee fabric quality control processes, maintain detailed records of quality metrics and fabric performance
• Proficient in understanding fabric properties (knit and woven) and how these properties effect finished garments
• Ensure quality standards and inspection processes implemented asper GEX /Buyer standards across vendor base
• Coordinate and collaborate with mills and sourcing teams to address quality issues, FOC requirement if any.
• Maintain detailed records on fabric performance, practical know how on denim and RFD before and after quality process
• Understand and work towards process improvements at mill based on actual feedback of warehouse and manufacturing units

Qualifications

• Diploma in Textile Engineering or minimum of 5 years of experience in fabric quality control or a similar role at mill.
• Strong understanding of fabric properties with good communication skills on subject matter
