Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and mechanical tests on metal samples, including tensile, hardness, impact, and fatigue tests.
• Perform chemical analysis of metals to determine composition and detect contaminants or impurities.
• Utilize testing equipment such as hardness testers, tensile testers, and microscopes.
• Analyze test results and interpret data to assess material properties and performance.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing test findings, including charts, graphs, and statistical analyses.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement based on test results.
• Ensure testing procedures and results comply with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
• Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to metal testing and materials quality.
• Develop and refine testing methods and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to validate new test methods and equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as needed.
• Maintain records of equipment calibration and maintenance activities.
• Ensure that testing processes adhere to quality control and assurance standards.
• Participate in audits related to testing practices and results.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing procedures and quality management.
