Job summary

ABB Nashik is seeking a Quality role professional with a Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics and 2–6 years of LV switchgear testing experience. You will support the quality team by implementing controls, auditing processes, and reporting KPIs, while maintaining documentation and training local teams.

Some travel to customer sites may be required. You will work to ensure adherence to the quality management system at all stages, report metrics, and drive opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–6 years of LV switchgear testing, quality assurance, protection systems, and commissioning.
• Hands-on IEC 61439 testing experience.
• Experience with numerical relay configuration, settings and testing.
• Experience with numerical relay configuration and testing, interlocks and communication testing.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Report quality issues data, ensuring adherence to the quality management system at all stages.
• Acquire and report quality metrics and KPIs accurately and timely.
• Utilize measurement systems to reflect characteristics of materials, products, systems, and processes.
• Train local operational teams on quality management and support improvements.

You will also showcase your expertise by reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintaining process documentation.The work model for the role is: #LI-onsiteThis role is a fixed-term position for a period of 2 Years.This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Smart Power division at Nashik, India.You will be mainly accountable for:Reporting quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.Acquiring and reporting quality metrics and KPIs accurately and in a timely manner to facilitate the analysis and management of local processes.Utilizing measurement systems to produce data that reflect the accurate characteristics of materials, products, systems, and processes.Training local operational teams on relevant elements of quality management, supporting implementation, and promoting opportunities for improvement.Qualifications for the roleDiploma/ BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with 2–6 years of relevant experience in LV switchgear testing, quality assurance, protection systems, and commissioning.Strong hands-on experience in IEC 61439 testing and knowledge of LV products, including ACBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, CTs, PTs, transformers, and LV switchgear systems.Practical experience in routine, FAT, and commissioning tests, including Functional Testing, High Voltage (HV) Test, Insulation Resistance (Megger) Test, Contact Resistance Measurement (CRM), Earth Continuity Test, and CT/PT testing.Hands-on experience in numerical relay configuration, settings, and testing, with an understanding of interlocking schemes, control logic, changeover functions, and communication testing.Exposure to customer handling, site activities, and commissioning support, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
