Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Mumbai is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineer to lead testing and commissioning activities for AC traction systems on metro rail projects. You will coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager and customers to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with safety and quality standards.

• Minimum 7 years of experience preferred.
• Experience in Testing & Commissioning of AC traction systems for metro rail projects or HV networks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Testing & Commissioning activities within defined time, budget, quality and safety constraints.
• Ensure works are executed as per the Testing & Commissioning Plan and project timelines.
• Coordinate closely with Site Manager and Project Manager; liaise with customers and interface partners.
• Monitor contractor testing & commissioning work per defined processes, EHS requirements and timelines.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, and safety walks with customer representatives and teams.

We are looking for

Testing and Commissioning Engineer

You’ll make a difference by

• Responsibility for Testing & Commissioning activities within time, budget, quality and safety framework.


• Having technical expertise of the allocated work and ensuring Testing & Commissioning works as per Testing & Commissioning Plan and within timeline defined by Project Manager/Site Manager. Ensuring budget of work is maintained while maintaining quality and safety standards as per customer and Siemens.


• Close coordination with Site Manager and Project Manager. Work in close coordination and as per instructions provided time to time during the tenure of the project.


• Close coordination with customer representatives at site: Represents Siemens at site and participate in all meetings, site inspections, etc along with customer representatives, interface partners, contractors, statutory bodies related to testing & commissioning works and as instructed by Project Manager and Site Manager.


• Close coordination with contractors: To monitor, supervise and report contractor’s Testing & Commissioning works as per instruction of Project Manager, Site Manager and as per laid down process EHS requirements and timeline defined for the work.


• Close coordination with EHS officer, Quality officer at site: Close coordination with EHS officer and Quality officer at site. To take part in EHS meetings of customer and monthly safety committee meetings. To take part in safety walk, TBT and LMRA.

Desired Skills:

• You have Bachelors degree electrical engineering or field related to electrical engineering


• Minimum 7 years of experience will be preferred.


• Candidates with minimum 5 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning works of AC traction (ASS/RSS/TSS/OHE) systems for metro rail projects and/or 220/132/66/33KV networks will be preferred.


• Familiar with Testing & Commissioning works is a must.
