Testing & Commissioning Manager – Telecom – Railway Infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Leading Installation and T&C Engineers of Siemens, installation sub‑contractor and T&C Engineers of Product Suppliers when required by the project.
- In charge of supporting Project Execution for installation, providing Engineering support in field activities.
- Coordination and liaison with technical project management, the relevant CoC system engineers, the test center and other parties involved in installation and testing of the project.
- Creation of a installation and testing schedule weekly.
- Draft Test & Commissioning Plans (ITP, PAT, SAT, ITC, System Demonstration Plan).
- Liaison with customer during Installation, Testing & Commissioning Phase.
- Responsible for the installation and execution of field tests of different Communication subsystems with the support of installation, Test Engineers and Product Supplier Engineers when the project requires it.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating installation, T&C activities throughout the execution phase; liaise with team and prepare installation schedule to ensure timely execution as per client requirements, manage sub‑contractor, and ensure no rework occurs to avoid cost overrun.
- Support Lead interface manager of project and ensure inputs for site requirements from E&M, civil are given on time.
- Work for the project milestones, complete Site acceptance tests like IAT, PAT, SAT on time and without customer issue.
- Development of a testing concept according to contract requirements in relation to the given system properties and the budget.
Qualifications
- Minimum work experience of 8‑10 years in Metro Railway project execution, installation and Test Commissioning for Telecommunication systems with any system integrator in the Metro domain. Overall experience of 10‑12 years is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field. Advanced English required.
- Advanced know‑how of Railway Communication Systems.
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards and Life Cycle V models (process rules EN50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
- Experience in planning installation & T&C activities and using planning tools is an added advantage.
- Methods, equipment and procedures of testing.
- Orientation to continuous improvement.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
