Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead ETCS Trackside testing for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project. The role requires coordinating across multiple internal teams and external partners to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Based in Kalwa, Mumbai, the candidate will manage documentation, testing strategies, resource plans and mentor junior staff, while ensuring adherence to project standards and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ETCS Level 1 & Level 2 Trackside Testing & Commissioning activities.
• Act as the technical focal point for ETCS Trackside T&C within the project organization.
• Coordinate with Installation, Design, Engineering, RAMS, ISA, Telecom, Interlocking, OCC, Rolling Stock, and Customer teams.
• Lead site engineers and testing resources across multiple project locations.
• Test Documentation & Procedure Development including PIC, PAP, SAP and Integrated Testing.
• Prepare testing resource plans, schedules and execution strategies.
• Mentor and guide site engineers and junior T&C personnel.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and project management procedures.
• Monitor progress, risks, and deliverables to achieve milestones.

We are looking for a Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead ETCS Trackside Testing & Commissioning activities for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.

The project utilizes a state-of-the-art ETCS Level 2 signaling system with 5G-based communication technology, supporting high-speed railway operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ETCS Trackside T&C team and managing all Testing & Commissioning activities from document preparation through integrated testing and final commissioning, ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, quality, and operational requirements.

ETCS Testing & Commissioning Leadership

• Lead and manage ETCS Level 1 & Level 2 Trackside Testing & Commissioning activities.
• Act as the technical focal point for ETCS Trackside T&C within the project organization.
• Coordinate with Installation, Design, Engineering, RAMS, ISA, Telecom, Interlocking, OCC, Rolling Stock, and Customer teams.
• Lead site engineers and testing resources across multiple project locations.
• Test Documentation & Procedure Development
• Develop, review, and manage ETCS testing documentation in accordance with the Contract Requirements, Employer Requirements, ETCS Specifications, and Project Standards, including:
• Post Installation Checkout (PIC) Procedures
• Partial Acceptance Procedures (PAP)
• System Acceptance Procedures (SAP)
• Integrated Testing Procedures
• Stakeholder Coordination
• Interface with international engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, customers, and railway authorities.
• Participate in technical reviews, inspections, and commissioning activities.
• Drive issue resolution and support system handover to the customer.
• Lead the ETCS Trackside Testing & Commissioning team.
• Prepare testing resource plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Mentor and guide site engineers and junior T&C personnel.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and project management procedures.
• Monitor progress, risks, and deliverables to achieve project milestones.
