Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced QE Automation Engineer to own end-to-end test design and automation across releases. You will build robust automation suites using Selenium/Playwright and Appium, drive test strategy, and mentor junior engineers.

Strong Java/C#/Python/TypeScript skills and hands-on experience with JIRA and Qtest are essential. This role is based in India, with emphasis on in-sprint Agile testing and quality gate ownership.

Qualifications

• Automation experience with Selenium/Playwright and REST API.
• Programming languages: Java, C#, Python, TypeScript (3–5 years).
• Mobile automation: Appium (2–4 years).
• CI/CD tooling and GitLab proficiency (2–3 years).
• Manual testing at expert level (2–4 years).
• Experience with JIRA and Qtest at expert level (2–4 years).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own the end-to-end manual and automated tests for assigned releases
• Create and maintain automation suites using Selenium (Java)/Playwright (Typescript), Appium and REST API frameworks
• Lead and coordinate testing activities for modules, owning quality gates and exit criteria
• Drive in-sprint Agile testing and represent QE in sprint planning, estimation, and risk discussions
• Actively validate user stories within sprint, ensuring early detection
• Contribute to automation stability, optimization, and best practices
• Use AI assisted testing solutions to accelerate the testing tasks (test generation, smart test selection, failure insights, self healing concepts)
• Define and optimize functional, regression and E2E execution strategies leveraging shared frameworks and cloud platforms
• Mentor A1/A2 engineers, review automation code, and drive QE standards, processes, and continuous improvement
