Senior QA Engineer / Test Lead (Banking Applications)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer / Test Lead with strong expertise in Banking and Financial Services testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for test planning, execution, regression validation, production-quality sign-offs, and leading QA activities across maintenance and enhancement releases. Experience with core banking, payments, trade finance, custody, or financial messaging platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare effort estimates and test plans for application enhancements, maintenance, and release activities.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing across banking applications.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Lead QA activities for projects and support junior team members with functional and technical guidance.
• Identify, track, and manage defects through closure while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Review business requirements and functional specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, business users, developers, and product teams to resolve issues and validate solutions.
• Provide quality sign-off for patch releases, enhancements, and production deployments.
• Contribute to test process improvements and automation initiatives.

• 4+ years of Software Testing / Quality Assurance experience.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Finastra Essence (preferred).
• Knowledge of Test Automation frameworks and tools.

• Understanding of API testing and integration testing concepts.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant QA, Banking, Agile, or Testing certifications are desirable.
