Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a testing team and reviewing delivery.
• Hands-on experience across all STLC stages: requirement analysis, test estimation, test planning, test design, test case creation, execution, and defect reporting.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of QA engineers: assign work, review test deliverables, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
• Own test planning and estimation for Salesforce projects, including scope, approach, timelines, and resourcing.
• Clarify functional gaps and acceptance criteria with product owners early in the lifecycle.
• Design and review test scenarios and test cases for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Execute test cases, log defects with clear steps, track to closure.
• Collaborate with development on defect triage, prioritization and resolution.
• Plan and run functional, regression, and cross-browser/device testing; include API testing.
• Use Salesforce Workbench for data validation and backend checks.

Job Title: QA Lead

Job Location: Hyderabad

Roles and Responsibilities: OSI Digital is seeking an experienced Test Lead for its Quality Engineering practice. This person will lead testing for Salesforce CRM implementations, own test planning and delivery end to end, and guide a team of testers to deliver quality releases on time.

This is a hands-on leadership role. It suits someone with strong Salesforce testing expertise, solid STLC discipline, and the confidence to work directly with clients, product owners, and development teams while leading and reviewing the team's work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of QA engineers: assign work, review test deliverables, and make sure testing is completed on time and to quality standards.
• Own test planning and estimation for Salesforce projects, including scope, approach, timelines, and resourcing.
• Analyze requirements and work with product owners to clarify functional gaps and acceptance criteria early.
• Design and review test scenarios and test cases based on functional requirements and business processes in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Execute test cases, log defects with clear reproduction steps, and track them through to closure.
• Work closely with the development team on defect triage, prioritization, and resolution.
• Plan and run functional testing, including smoke, regression, retesting, cross-browser/device compatibility, and API testing.
• Use Salesforce Workbench for data validation, SOQL queries, and backend verification.
• Share test status, risks, and quality metrics with clients and internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and make sure testing keeps pace with sprint timelines

Required Skills and Experience

Core Experience

• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications.
• Proven experience leading a testing team and reviewing delivery.
• Hands-on experience across all STLC stages: requirement analysis, test estimation, test planning, test design, test case creation, execution, and defect reporting.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Salesforce Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, specifically Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Good understanding of Salesforce objects, profiles, roles, permission sets, workflows, and validation rules.
• Working experience with Salesforce Workbench, including SOQL queries and data checks.

Testing Skills

• Strong functional testing experience: smoke, regression, retesting, and cross-browser/device compatibility testing.
• Hands-on API testing experience.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and status reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lead and mentor a team while also contributing hands-on.

Nice to Have

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator).
• Exposure to Salesforce test automation tools such as Provar, Copado, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Experience with API tools like Postman.
• Exposure to AI-based testing tools.

We are not looking for someone who

• Has general testing experience without real hands-on Salesforce project work.
• Has only executed test cases, with no experience in test planning or leading a team.
• Is not comfortable interacting directly with clients.
• Is not willing to work from the office.
