Job summary

Marquistech in Mumbai is seeking an experienced mobile testing engineer to drive pre-launch and field testing of 2G/3G/4G devices, software, and prototypes. You will perform extensive testing, log analysis, and debugging across LTE, VoLTE, and related network features.

This role requires hands-on use of QXDM, Wireshark, ADB, and exposure to vendor chipsets, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience in mobile testing including field and pre-launch testing.
• Hands-on knowledge of Android and Windows mobile testing.
• Familiarity with QXDM/QPST/QCAT and packet capture tools.
• Understanding of LTE/VoLTE concepts and carrier testing.
• Good communication and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Pre-launch mobile device testing, handset testing, and prototype model testing.
• Field, sanity, feature, functional, system, and regression testing of 2G/3G/4G smartphones in India and abroad.
• Device acquisition and flashing on latest software builds; proceed with stationary and mobility testing.
• UI testing, integration testing, network testing, and LTE/VoLTE testing.
• Log capture using QXDM, ELT, Wireshark, ADB, and ODL.
• Network protocol testing with different national operators.
• Debug LTE/VoLTE issues to identify root causes.
• Execute field test cases for call performance, voice quality, handovers, data, and location features.
• End-user product testing and benchmarking of mobile phones.
• Prepare bug/test summary reports and execute test cases across GSM, WCDMA/UMTS, LTE, IRAT, and VoLTE; contribute to test plans/strategy.

Responsibilities

• Pre-launch mobile device testing, Handset Testing, Mobile chipset Testing, and Prototype models.
• Field testing, Sanity testing, Feature testing, Functional testing, System testing, Device Flashing, Compatibility testing, Retesting, Regression Testing, Performance testing, Load testing, Stress testing, Mobility and Stationary testing of 2G/3G/ 4G LTE smartphones in mobile handsets in India and Abroad.
• Device acquisition, flashing on latest SW built, performing stationary, mobility testing, and Network Testing.
• UI Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Network Testing, 2G/3G/4G/LTE Testing.
• Log capturing on logging tools like QXDM, ELT, Wireshark, ADB, ODL.
• Network related protocol testing on different national operators.
• Performing debugging analysis in LTE and VoLTE technologies for finding the possible root cause.
• Execute Field test cases to verify the call performance, voice quality Hand overs and data, performance and location functionality of mobile phones
• End user product testing and benchmarking of Mobile phone products, Performance, and location functionality of mobile phones.
• Testing the call quality on 2G and 3G network, 4G networks.
• Providing full R&D support and maintenance for pre and post-launch products, including reproduction and diagnosis of problems.
• Preparation of bug & test summary report, Execution of test cases on GSM, WCDMA/UMTS, LTE, IRAT, and VoLTE , Involvement in Test plan Preparation and preparation of test strategy .

Skill Set Required

• Should have Good Knowledge/ Experience in Mobile testing/Drive Testing/Device Testing/ Field Testing
• Good knowledge/Experience in Windows and Android mobile.
• Knowledge on QXDM, QPST QCAT tool, Mediatek, Spreadtrum or QUALCOMM chipset will be an added Advantage.
• Should know 2G, 3G, 4G Architecture, 2g ,3g channels.
• Should have Knowledge of LTE and LTE-A technologies and concepts (IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi, CSFB, SRVCC, Carrier Aggregation).
• Should have Knowledge of UMTS/WCDMA/GPRS/EDGE.
• Should have Knowledge of Call Flow (3G Call/Data flow, LTE Call/Data flow, IMS call flow).
• Excellent academic and good Communication Skills with a presentable personality.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Flexible working hours.
